Welcome to my blog. I hope to share my journey through school as I work towards my PhD in Nursing Science and some things I have learned along the way.

I've had a long career in the clinical side of nursing. Throughout my career, my favorite parts were creating change and doing something new that would positively impact patients and families.

I have been involved in numerous community initiatives, however, I frequently found a 'brick wall' because there was not enough research in the area we were targeting, particularly research in my community. So, I decided to return to school to learn research approaches to bring back to my community.
